Datasource Search
Search is the main entry point for working with your data: you find a datasource, open it in the Datasources View, and inspect its channels, tags, flow output and audit events from there.
Searching datasources
Open the search from the navigation bar. Datasources can be found by any of the following — or any combination of them:
- Identifier or name — free-text lookup of the datasource ID.
- Tag properties — any tag property in the data model is searchable (for example a location, market party, or contract attribute).
- Classifier — narrow results to a datasource classifier (see Datasource Classifier).
Datasources are indexed for search in near real time, with one nuance: a datasource created with at least one tag is searchable immediately, while a datasource created without tags only becomes searchable once a tag is added or the periodic re-index runs. Always create datasources with at least one tag — see Datasource Visibility in Search for details and best practices.
Advanced Search
For structured, ad-hoc queries — filtering on multiple fields, exploring available tables and their schemas, and building result sets for analysis — use Advanced Search, powered by eQL, the Energyworx Query Language. The schemas tab in Advanced Search lists all queryable tables and fields.
