Release Notes: Version 23.01

Here's a sneak peek at what's new:

VDS Improvements

  • Improvement VDS query validation check. First our console will try to validate the query input. In case the query is invalid but somehow managed to bypass the console validation, then the second (backend) validation will be triggered to notify the user in audit events that their query is actually invalid.
  • Allow VDS to copy flow properties from input flow to output flow
  • Allow user to modify VDS filter via API. The new filter only affects new flows run and not the existing crunched data.
  • Allow user to set time limit for which a VDS is updated
  • Allow user to add delay parameter to VDS when using chained flows for underlying datasource. The maximum time delay is 20 minutes.
  • Allow user to set timezone for VDS. However, it is still possible for the user to view the VDS in timezones that are the default of the underlying data sources.
  • Deprecate obsolete VDS API endpoints
  • Add field for timezone for the VDS in Advance Search

Channel Classifier Display Name

  • Introduce a new parameter called display name for Channel Classifier
  • This display name will be used in Channel Classifier view, Flow Design view, TC view, and Datasource view

Adding New Properties to Channel Properties

  • Add new properties valid_from, version and deleted to channel properties
  • Add the new properties above to TC channels section
  • Extend generic runbook to cover ingestion scenario to add channel properties

Datasource Classifiers Limit

  • Increase the allowed limit of datasource classifiers to 1000

Timeslice Group Versions Comparison

  • Improve the previous TSG versions' comparison UI.

SAML Integration

Single sign-in with SAML support. Users can log in to the energyworx platform by using their existing user account on other systems (support only for Microsoft and Google accounts). This is supported through domain white-listing, meaning that all users belonging to a domain that is white-listed in the platform will be logged in automatically. Automatic group-mapping is also provided. This enables the user to be assigned automatically upon log in to a group in the platform. This group can also be mapped to a specific group on the customer's own authorisation system.
